DANNY EVERITT

Danny has been recognized as the 2014 Singer/Songwriter of the Year by the Academy of Texas Music. His latest CD, Acoustic Souvenir, is available on CDBaby, iTunes and at MyTexasMusic.com.

If you love Texas and you love music, you’ll love Danny Everitt because he is the perfect combination of the two.  Strong, bold and lyrical.  Everitt’s music is at once as beautiful and lonely as a tumbleweed blowing across West Texas.  Danny’s been a troubadour for most of a few decades now and he captures a lifetime of heartache, love and life in his is songwriting. Those who know Danny love his music.  Those who don’t, will.

Additionally, Danny was a nominee for the Texas Music Awards’ Singer/Songwriter of the Year honors in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Early in his career he was a New Folk Winner at the Kerrville Folk Festival. His second solo album, Cold Wind Cold Rain, became a favorite with Americana radio.

In the 1980′s I.R.S. Records released ARK by the original re-united “British Invasion” super group, The Animals, which featured three of his songs. Many well-known artists including Teresa James, Shake Russell, Scott McGill, Brook Benton, Koko Callis and Demis Russos have also recorded Everitt songs.

Danny plays listening rooms, festivals, house concerts and coffee houses year round. He is featured in a 2013 book about the ‘70’s Houston music scene called The Boys From Houston. He sounds like everything you love about the Lone Star State.
